GEZE receives the 'Eiserner Gustav' and is named 'Supplier of the Year 2018'

GEZE was awarded the 'Eiserner Gustav’ at this year’s Fensterbau Frontale trade fair in Nuremberg for its exceptional work in the area of training. This is the third time that GEZE has received the award, confirming the exceptional quality and broad scope of its training programme. EBH, Europe’s largest distributor group in the building fittings market, grants the award in recognition of the exemplary work performed by its members.

In an extensive online survey, EBH retailers voted GEZE this year’s overall winner in the training support category. “Comprehensive and customised service is a given at GEZE and forms the basis for successful cooperation built on trust. This includes our extensive training programme, which we are continually improving and developing. We are proud of this award, and the feedback on our work from EBH members,” comments Christian Schulze Dieckhoff, Head of Sales Germany and Luxembourg.

In response to increasingly complex demands

Door and window systems are becoming increasingly complex as the demands on them also increase. Optimally adapted to building use, doors are required to fulfil a variety of functions, the most important being: accessibility, fire protection, natural smoke and heat ventilation, emergency exit protection, break-in protection and access management. Increasingly stringent safety standards and aesthetic criteria are also defining modern buildings, so networking door and window functions, and integrating them into building management systems is becoming increasingly important.

Holistic approach for the best results

GEZE reflects the complexity of building design in its training concept. The company’s holistic approach is one of the criteria on which the practical value and quality of its training courses scores highly. Installation engineers, distributors and builders acquire valuable professional knowledge that extends beyond their own immediate remit. GEZE consciously creates links to all areas of construction, including downstream trades such as architects and planners, enabling the different disciplines to coordinate at an early stage, and planning aspects to be taken into account. Conversely, GEZE construction experts explain during seminars with architects and planners the challenges that installation engineers and the individual product groups must be able to deal with during the project roll-out. Establishing these connections not only means optimum overall results when fitting buildings with doors and windows – the holistic training concept also creates synergistic effects, increases efficiency in building construction and helps to prevent errors from the outset.

Extensive training programme at our in-house training centre

GEZE offers a comprehensive programme of training and qualifications from its in-house training centre at its Leonberg head office, including seminars, courses and presentations for manufacturers and installation engineers as well as architects and planners. The programme of training will be further expanded in the years ahead, with courses covering products, applications, installation and specialist knowledge through to sales support. To ensure installation engineers and planners are always up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements, GEZE also offers seminars on standards and directives, and how these apply in practice. In addition, GEZE brings its customers and partners the latest in industry expertise, interesting technical topics and information about new products. GEZE’s training consultants are experts in their field, with a talent for clear communication, and a wealth of practical examples to illustrate the course content. Course participants are awarded certificates of attendance and professional competence awards, many of which are recognised in the context of further training for architects. The GEZE programme of training is flexible and mobile, also offering a range of customised individual courses and presentations away from the GEZE training centre.
